Thanks to great support from Guangzhou Port Group and China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Branch, Guangzhou Port formally began the Guangzhou -Changsha container railway transport service on June 1st, 2009. The new service is a more convenient and economical express for domestic trade containers.

The operating site in Guangzhou Port is located at the meeting points of Guangzhou Port Group (Whampoa Old Port, GCT New Port, Xinsha Terminal and GPL of Dingsheng Logistics Company), while the loading and unloading in Changsha is completed at Changsha East Station (yard of Nanhua Logistics Co., Ltd.). At present, the service is for point-to-point two-way transport.
