sep25,China Crew's Salary Index(CCSI)initiated by the Shipping Online launched.It is reported that this is the first index for Chinese crew groups,issued by the authority of the media,and meanwhile supported by the most shipping owner,management companies as well as crew service companies.Representatives from FLEET Shipmanagement,CNShipping and other enterprises witnessed the launching ceremony.

The secretariat of CCSI drafting panel has based its work in shipping Online's office.The Board consists of a chairman, five vice chairmen and a number of directors, all of which are data suppliers to CCSI index. With a 1,000 starting point, CCSI index will be released at beginning of each month.

In accordance with a unified format, the data suppliers (or indicator units) shall, at the beginning of each month, submit crew wage standards in all positions regarding specific routes and ships, then according to the pre-conditioned calculating ways and weigh the relative importance, Shipping Online is to conduct comprehensive calculation of all indicators and formulate the ultimate CCSI. To this end, Shipping Online has promised  to strictly protect the original data, while only the index after processing can be made known to the public.
